I am a certified Play Therapist with a background of working with children in both mainstream and special school settings.
I am passionate about working with all children, and in particular, neurodivergent children as I have witnessed the positive impact that play therapy can have as they face the challenges of living in a world predominantly set up for neurotypical people.
My work is guided by Axline's principles and I believe that children have the innate ability to overcome the difficulties they face given the opportunity to do so. This opportunity is provided by the time and therapeutic relationship offered in play therapy.
My qualifications include: Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy (University of Chichester) Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play (Leeds Beckett University) BAEd (QTS) Primary Education with Biology (University of Winchester)
