The Curly Hair Project is an organisation that helps people on the autistic spectrum and those close to them. Founded by autistic author Alis Rowe, it uses animated films, stories and comic strips making it interesting and accessible.

Siena Castellon wrote "The Spectrum Girl's Survival Guide: How to Grow Up Awesome and Autistic" at the age of 17.  You can check out a review here.
