Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy

At Creative Therapeutic Journeys (CTJ) I adhere to the PTUK Equality & Diversity Policy (2021), this can be found at:

 https://playtherapy.org.uk/ptuk-equality-and-diversity-policy/

I am committed to being part of a fair, inclusive and diverse community where all are free from prejudice and discrimination (direct or indirect) and have the support they need to achieve their full potential.

The Equality Act 2010 protects people in Britain from unlawful discrimination, harassment, and victimisation based on nine protected characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.

I believe all people have a right to a life free from discrimination, harassment, bullying and disadvantage and seek to embody the principles of acceptance and inclusion in all aspects of my work whilst continuously monitoring attitudes and practices to ensure discrimination is contested at every level.

My work at CTJ is founded upon the ethical principles of Play Therapy UK (PTUK).  The Ethical Framework can be found at: https://playtherapy.org.uk/ethical-framework/

This policy will be reviewed annually: Next review due 07/10/2026
